The Legend of Puss in Boots!

.
.
We're headed down to the premier of Puss in Boots this week to see the final cut of the movie. We're very proud of the show, I think you'll especially enjoy the color, light and atmosphere worked into each location. I worked on it for 2 years so it's a big investment for me, I hope you check it out! Coming to theaters October 28th.

  1. I'd like to be the first to say, I'm super excited. Especially for the colour, light, and atmosphere.

    Inspiring work, as always.

  2. I love everything about this picture, and am pumped for the movie.

I loved the color theory of Puss (who, by nature is orange) being victorious in this pic, because the environment's in his element color wise.

Also, on a personal note I love face-to-face shots, and I love directly-perpendicular-to-the-camera shots. Wonderful, wonderful stuff. I'm just happy to be alive in the same time period as you.

  8. i am fascinated by the way a few brushworks can build such a strong cloudy background. I love your art and i hate how the dreamworks (or pixar) movies lose the painterly feel in spite of the cold and over detailed CGI. want to go back to the prince of egypt and the eldorado times where genius like you were displaying their art right in front of your eyes on a huge screen. ok, nostalgic mode OFF. :)

Amazing movie! So much bright, vibrant color in it. Incredible sunlight and moonlight in town scenes! Just the true colors of coastal Spanish towns. And there are great colors and composition when they were in clouds. Thank you for beautiful and hard work! Kindest regards from Russia :)

  19. It took 2 years? I'm surprised it takes so long to produce a CG movie. I'm glad you took your time. It looks like it was worth it.
